Some moments in aviation lift our spirits skyward, and the Cumulus Awards are such an occasion. These prestigious accolades celebrate the champions who passionately and diligently advance aviation sports, from aerobatics and gliding to precision navigation flying. But the Cumuluses represent more than just sports—they tell the stories of people shaping the history of Polish aviation. The Cumulus Gala is a stage for athletes and a tribute to promoters, veterans, and enthusiasts.
Achievements in aerial photography, organising airshows, and training future pilots are also recognised. It’s an event that unites the aviation community—from aeroclubs to institutions and companies—against a backdrop of values like integration, safety, precision, and continuous growth. This year has been filled with aviation triumphs and events that will be commemorated in the Cumulus Awards.
The winners will be announced during a grand gala, with the decisions resting in the hands of the Jury, aeroclub authorities, journalists, and thousands of aviation fans. A wealth of accompanying events complements the awards program. Seminars, workshops, historical exhibitions, and open days at aeroclubs and museums attract amateurs and professionals. Many find this a chance to try their hand at simulators, explore new technologies, or immerse themselves in the magic of flight. The Cumulus Awards 2024 are not only a recognition of past achievements but also an invitation to shape the future of Polish aviation. For some, it’s a trophy; for others, it’s an inspiration to reach even higher. As one previous winner said, “The sky is our domain, and the Cumuluses remind us that passion knows no bounds.”
Artur Molęda, the creator of the film “Guardians of the Sky”, was awarded the prestigious “Cumulus Film” trophy for his victory in the film competition. The award was presented by Jury Chairman Robert Galas and Kamila Krzyżaniak from the Film Jury. The main partner of the competition was the Łomianki City Hall. In a thrilling moment, Michał Kubaszewski handed over a voucher for a parachute jump, generously sponsored by the Warsaw Aeroclub. Rafał Brzostowski received an honorable mention and a diploma for his impressive film “Echo of the Eagles”, celebrating the spirit of aviation with his captivating storytelling. The atmosphere was electric, and the recognition of these talented filmmakers added an exciting layer to the already inspiring Cumulus Awards 2024!
